When Mikaela and Robbie planned their wedding, they envisioned a fun weekend in a beautiful outdoor location so when they visited Oz Farms in Manchester, California (a short drive away from beautiful Point Arena) they knew they had found the venue of their dreams. Primarily an organic apple and pear farm and retreat center, Oz Farm features several unique and cute cabins for guests to stay overnight as well as a full kitchen and barn for entertaining. The vibe of their weekend felt less like a wedding and more like summer camp with your favorite people. It was such a community vibe with everyone pitching in from picking and arranging all the flowers direct from the farm to helping feed everyone all weekend.
The day began with Mikaela and Robbie getting ready with their friends at the geodesic domes on the property. The funky cabin allowed for both parties to get ready separately in the same space. As Oz Farm is also known for their wildflowers, their guests were encouraged to wear floral prints and flowers in their hair. I absolutely fell head over heels for Mikaela’s unique Rime Arodaky jumpsuit featuring a lace train/cape which added so much drama while not restricting her movement. Mikaela and Robbie took a few quiet moments to have a first look before walking back over the river to the apple fields for a few more portraits prior to their ceremony under the redwood trees. Forgoing a traditional wedding party, they asked their friends and family to dance down the aisle before them. Good family friends officiated their ceremony as friends shared words of wisdom and sweet stories about the couple.
After the vows, everyone headed over to the barn where they were presented with the most impressive charcuterie spread I’d ever seen (I remarked that it was like a cornucopia exploded.) Drinks , delicious food and festive conversation continued into the night as more friends and family shared touching toasts before everyone was invited into the barn for an epic dance party that lasted into the night. Truly a one of a kind wedding at an incredible venue!
