Hello all! I just got back from a five day road trip with friends where we drove all the way from Oakland through Nevada to Salt Lake City, Utah. I honestly never thought much about visiting Utah, besides the all the national parks in the southern portion of the state. In fact, on our first night in town, the hostess at a restaurant said to us, "You're all from California? Why would you come here for a vacation?"
The answer? Because the landscape around Salt Lake City from the Bonneville Salt Flats to the Wasatch Mountains is just breath-taking! Coming from such a dense part of the San Francisco Bay Area, Utah really fulfilled my wild west dreams.
