Alice and Alex's springtime wedding at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park was a joyful celebration of nature, friendship, and the beautiful blend of their cultures and community. The day began at the redwood grove in Joaquin Miller Park, where the couple shared their first look beneath the towering trees before exploring the forest together for portraits in that quiet, dappled light that makes the East Bay redwoods so special. From there, we made our way to the historic Brazilian Room, where Alice and Alex were surrounded by a wedding party of nearly 20 of their closest friends—a testament to the community they've built together. Their ceremony, officiated by their friend Annie, was filled with meaningful personal touches: friends stepped forward to share readings, a song was performed for the couple, and Alice's cousins played the violin, filling the park with live music. As the fog rolled in over the Berkeley Hills before dinner, Alice and Alex snuck away for a few final sunset portraits together, the soft mist adding an ethereal quality to the landscape around them. Back inside, guests were treated to a delicious meal from Cafe Soleil while heartfelt toasts celebrated the newlyweds among friends who clearly adore them. The evening's most memorable surprise came when Alice changed into a striking red dress, the traditional Chinese wedding color, for her father-daughter dance, a moment her dad didn't see coming and one that perfectly honored her heritage.
