Copra Restaurant Wedding » San Francisco, California
The day before Ragan and Vineeth's wedding, their families gathered for a mehndi celebration, a chance to honor their elders and mark the start of something new together. It set the tone for everything that followed. Their wedding at Copra, a South Indian restaurant in San Francisco, was the first ceremony ever held in the space, and it made sense from the moment they walked in. Low light, warm textures, layered greenery, a room that already felt like somewhere worth gathering. For a couple who had always loved long dinners where conversation stretched late into the evening, it was the right fit. Vineeth honored his Kerala Hindu heritage through a ceremony that was intentional and considered, keeping what felt meaningful and releasing what did not. The rituals included circling a ceremonial lamp together and a joyful shower of petals from their guests at the close of the ceremony. To help guests unfamiliar with Hindu traditions feel part of every moment, Ragan and Vineeth created ceremony guides in their own voice, warm and specific and genuinely them. Both changed outfits after the ceremony, Vineeth into a green suit, Ragan into a vintage Mary McFadden gown, and the room shifted with them. A close friend DJed the reception and read the room well, filling the dance floor with guests across generations who never really left it. The celebration began the night before with mehndi and ended with everyone they love moving together under the same roof.
