If I ever need a reminder that I have the best job in the world, I can think back to the morning I spent capturing Marie and Priscilla's grocery store scavenger hunt and surprise proposal. Marie had crafted thoughtful clues based on their five years together, sending Priscilla through the aisles of Bi-Rite Market near Alamo Square (who graciously allowed us to photograph this special moment in their store.) After a playful fake-out with a candy ring pop that had both of them laughing, we drove north through the city where Marie led Priscilla down to Marshall's Beach for the real proposal. There, overlooking the Pacific Ocean with the Golden Gate Bridge stretching magnificently in the background, Marie proposed with the real ring. Being in the orbit of their joy and love was exactly what my soul needed, and their creative, heartfelt proposal was a beautiful reminder of why I love documenting these love stories.
