Most Holy Redeemer + Gallery 308 Wedding » San Francisco, California
Gabrielle and Brent came into their wedding day with a clear intention: fun over pretty, community over performance, and meaning in every detail. The morning started at Hotel del Sol in the Marina, where the energy was already warm from the night before spent with friends. With the help of her good friend and maid of honor, Gabrielle got into her ceremony dress which was handmade by Filipino designer Randy Ortiz. In addition to her reception earrings by BRWNGRLZ, both outfits honored her Filipino heritage and her connection to the United Farm Workers movement. Brent, who got ready with his good friend and best man, wore his grandfather's tuxedo, a suit lovingly passed down which he also wore to prom. The couple saved their first look for the moment Brent saw Gabrielle walk toward him at Most Holy Redeemer in the Castro, a church they chose specifically for its history of inclusivity and activism within the Catholic faith. Father Matt officiated, Gabrielle's brother shared a few words, and their friend Ella Dair sang during the ceremony, filling the space with something that felt uniquely theirs. After group portraits in the church garden, the celebration moved to Gallery 308 at Fort Mason, we found a United Farm Workers mural nearby and stopped for portraits in moment that felt like it was meant to be. Guests gathered for cocktails and family style dinner from Le's Kitchen in the open Gallery 308 space before Fenton's Creamery ice cream sundaes closed out the meal, and then Abby Imperial took over for a dance party that carried the night. From venue to vendor to every personal detail woven through the day, Gabrielle and Brent made sure their wedding wasn't just a celebration of the two of them but a reflection of the people, places, and values they hold close.
