San Francisco Botanical Garden + Fiorella Wedding » San Francisco, California » Erin Prado for VCP

Erin and Jonathan knew exactly what they wanted: something small, meaningful, and true to how they actually live. They chose the Redwood Grove at the San Francisco Botanical Garden for their ceremony because redwoods have always felt like a cathedral to them, and the Botanical Garden gave their Midwest family an easy place to travel while visiting San Francisco to without sacrificing the forest setting they had always imagined. The day started with portraits wandering the garden, taking their time before making their way to the grove where a mutual friend officiated and another friend played guitar during the ceremony. It was intimate in the best way, just the people who matter most, gathered under the trees. Afterward, the group walked over to Fiorella on Clement Street, a restaurant that already held years of ordinary weeknight memories for Erin and Jonathan when they lived in the neighborhood. Dinner, toasts, and a reminder that a wedding can be exactly as small as it needs to be.

This wedding was photographed by associate photographer, Erin Prado.
