Eva and Herman's South Bay wedding beautifully blended the natural beauty of California's redwoods with the vibrant energy of their time spent together in Hong Kong. I met up with the couple at Sanborn County Park, where they shared an emotional first look beneath the towering redwood trees, joined by their sweet dog Rosie for some tender portraits in the dappled forest light. The celebration continued at the Sequoia Peterson Grove, where Eva and Herman exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by an intimate group of their closest friends and family, with the majestic redwoods serving as nature's cathedral. After the ceremony, we made our way to Santana Row in Santa Clara, capturing candid portraits as we strolled along the bustling sidewalks toward their reception venue. The evening's festivities took place in the private dining room at Strait's Restaurant, where the décor told the story of their relationship through neon signs, tropical touches, and red Asian accents that evoked the spirit of Hong Kong. Midway through dinner, Eva surprised everyone by changing into a traditional qi pao, and we stepped outside to capture a few final sunset portraits that perfectly honored their heritage. The intimate dinner reception was filled with heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and the warmth of loved ones celebrating two people whose love story spans continents.
